What is depression therapy?

Depression therapy is structured, evidence-based treatment that goes beyond talking about how you feel. Effective depression treatment addresses the cognitive distortions, behavioral patterns, and emotional regulation challenges that maintain depressive symptoms.

Our clinicians use a range of approaches tailored to your specific presentation — from CBT and DBT to integrative and somatic methods. We also coordinate with prescribers when medication may be part of your care.

  • Persistent sadness, emptiness, or hopelessness
  • Loss of interest in activities you used to enjoy
  • Fatigue, low energy, or feeling slowed down
  • Difficulty concentrating or making decisions
  • Changes in sleep — sleeping too much or too little
  • Changes in appetite or weight
  • Feelings of worthlessness or excessive guilt
  • Thoughts of death or suicide (seek help immediately if this applies)

How We Help

Our treatment approaches

Our clinicians are trained in multiple evidence-based modalities and tailor treatment to each individual client.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is one of the most researched depression treatments. It identifies and challenges the negative thought patterns that drive low mood and builds behavioral activation strategies.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

DBT skills — including mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotion regulation — are particularly effective for depression with emotional intensity or self-harm concerns.

Behavioral Activation

Behavioral activation is a structured approach that breaks the depression-inactivity cycle by gradually reintroducing meaningful and pleasurable activities.

Integrative & Somatic Approaches

For clients whose depression has somatic or trauma-related components, we incorporate body-based and integrative methods alongside traditional clinical approaches.
