SRG Therapy Group · Massachusetts
SRG Therapy Group provides specialized trauma therapy and PTSD treatment via telehealth across Massachusetts. Our clinicians are trained in EMDR, somatic approaches, and trauma-informed care for complex trauma, single-incident trauma, childhood trauma, and PTSD.
About This Service
Trauma therapy is specialized treatment that addresses the lasting psychological impact of overwhelming experiences. Unlike general talk therapy, effective trauma treatment works at the level where traumatic memories are stored — in the body and the nervous system — not just in conscious narrative.
At SRG Therapy Group, trauma treatment is paced and collaborative. We prioritize safety and stabilization before processing traumatic material, and we use approaches like EMDR, somatic therapy, and trauma-informed CBT that have strong research support.

How We Help
Our clinicians are trained in multiple evidence-based modalities and tailor treatment to each individual client.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is one of the most evidence-based trauma treatments available. It helps the brain reprocess traumatic memories so they lose their emotional charge. Jennifer Cohen is trained in EMDR.
Trauma lives in the body. Somatic approaches address the physical dimension of trauma by working with body sensations, posture, and nervous system responses alongside verbal processing.
Trauma-focused CBT adapts cognitive-behavioral techniques specifically for trauma — addressing avoidance, negative trauma-related beliefs, and emotional regulation.
For clients with complex or developmental trauma, we incorporate memory reconsolidation principles and nervous system regulation to support deeper, lasting healing.
