What is anxiety therapy?

Anxiety therapy is structured, evidence-based treatment designed to help you understand the roots of your worry, interrupt unhelpful thought patterns, and build lasting coping skills. Unlike simply managing symptoms, good anxiety therapy addresses the underlying cognitive and emotional patterns that keep anxiety going.

At SRG Therapy Group, anxiety treatment is individualized — we assess your specific presentation and match you with a clinician whose approach and specialties fit your needs. Most clients begin to notice meaningful change within 8 to 12 sessions.

  • Persistent worry that's hard to control
  • Panic attacks or physical symptoms like racing heart, shortness of breath
  • Avoidance of situations, people, or activities
  • Difficulty sleeping due to anxious thoughts
  • Irritability, restlessness, or feeling on edge
  • Anxiety that's affecting work, relationships, or daily functioning
  • Specific fears or phobias that limit your life

How We Help

Our treatment approaches

Our clinicians are trained in multiple evidence-based modalities and tailor treatment to each individual client.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is the gold standard for anxiety treatment. It helps you identify and restructure the thought patterns that fuel anxiety and build new behavioral responses.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT teaches you to change your relationship with anxious thoughts rather than fighting them — creating psychological flexibility and values-based living.

Mindfulness-Based Approaches

Mindfulness-based interventions help you observe anxiety without being controlled by it, reducing the amplification that comes from resisting or avoiding anxious feelings.

Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP)

For OCD and specific phobias, ERP is the most evidence-based approach — gradually reducing avoidance and building tolerance for uncertainty.
